Week of Wow! - Wilmington

Our Week of Wow was a great success! For 3 days, Paysage in Wilmington was abuzz with excitement!
April 15th, we hosted 2 unique cooking classes with great area chefs. Chef Eric Gephart from Buoy 32 and David Herring, Chef at Large, wowed our crowd with unique techniques and wonderfully fresh food. Red Bank Wine added to the fun with wine pairings from Spain, France, New Zealand and California. Needless to say, the crowds were really having a ball eating and imbibing! Fresh herb plants were provided by The Transplanted Garden.

April 16th was a banner day with designer Suzanne Kasler of Atlanta and Hickory Chair! A luncheon in her honor was held with 60 guests dining outside by our fountain, basking in the sunshine, eating great salads from the Brasserie and listening to her talk on “Editing Trends for Timeless Design”. During lunch, we were treated with informal modeling from 3 area fashion giants; Monkees, Island Passage and Beanie and Cecile. What fun to see the latest and greatest fashions while talking design, fashion, work and everything else under the sun! Net proceeds from the luncheon went to therewithcare.org, a nonprofit which helps families of critically ill children. A tour of Suzanne’s furnishings designs, an appearance by faux artist Margo Davey, floral plantings from the Secret Gardener and The Oriental Rug Gallery were also present.
A cocktail party that evening with live jazz by the Doug Irwin Group capped the day. Up close and personal, Suzanne’s charm was felt by all-truly a generous and delightful person. As an added bit of fun, it was a significant birthday for Richard, our fearless leader. The entire party sang him a happy birthday and shared a fabulous cake from Sweet and Savory.

April 17th was our SPA DAY and did we do it up right! Customers were treated to free mini manicures from Head to Toe Day Spa and facial treatments for Rejuvanessence by Renee Dixon.
We also had beautiful bath and body products from Rain presented by Hendrien Dewhurst who hails from South Africa. All Hendrien’s products are organic, lush and gorgeous in their packaging! We all LOVE and use her products everyday and are astounded by their quality and how they make us feel!!!!!!! The time honored secret of indigenous flora and medicinal plants are gathered from the various plant regions and blended into the Rain products.
John Robshaw textiles and bedding premiered featuring Katie Austin from New York. Robshaw employs traditional printing, dying and weaving techniques all from India. The colors are fabulous and the mix and match aspect makes putting together a bed so much FUN! All new for Wilmington. Thanks to the Paysage Family for all their time in putting together this event!
